CLCK Question

I have tried CLCK using a few different emulators - when I place the cursor in the top left and press 'fire' on the emulated joystick - all that happens is the test mode starts running the empty playfield - what am I doing wrong?

If I remember correctly, indeed the fire button runs the test mode, while with space bar you can select menu items, place elements on the map, etc...
