Translation gone very bad (Boulder Dash for a laugh)

Post by LogicDeLuxe »

I just stumbled upon a translation of the (somewhat older but more informative) German Boulder Dash entry of the wikipedia here: http://www.economy-point.org/boulder-dash/index.html
It looks worse than a Google translation, which looks like this: Google translation

Whoever did this, could have saved a lot of time by just clicking on the "english" button on that page. As you probably know, he would have found this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boulder_Dash

LoL
Once I saw a translation of "Boulder Dash" as "Streepje van de kei" (Stripe of the stone).
And as "Steinschlag" in an english->german translation.

It would be funny for an FSS representative to say: "Hello, I'm from Roofridge Star Software, or FSS. We shorten 'roofridge' to just 'fridge' before making the acronym because it saves time when writing it..."

Oh, and that must be why BD3 isn't popular; because it is also directly noticeable with some Macken.
Boulders are round.
Fireflies are square.
I need to find
a'way out of here.
