Your favorite type of BD puzzle...
What's your favorite type of Boulder Dash puzzle? I like caves where it's necessary to plan carefully where to blow holes through walls to open up new areas, reach the exit, etc. http://www.boulder-dash.nl/forum/forumpics/cave13d3.gif This is Natto-Cat's cave 13, difficulty 3, "Mining" - a...

Tried it, but I didn't really care for it. I like how the boulders roll, but that's about it. I didn't play far enough to see the amoeba. I'm always interested how remakes handle it. The speed seemed to be really slow. I'm surprised ZX Games can get away with selling a BD game that includes the name...

Just a thought... EA had a pretty complex copy protection scheme / fast loading utility (it's what's going on when the EA logo is flashing) and I had a few EA games stop during the load utility when the disk became corrupted. That's all I can think of at the moment. Super Boulder Dash from EA and th...

It seems that you didn't saw much Boulder Dash on the C64. In fact, you can push a boulder over spaces to the right with a probability 1 out of 4 (all engines). Of course I know about that. The engine in Natto-Cat also supports pushing boulders over space if you're lucky enough. I'm referring to th...

I like all kinds of games, especially older C64 games like Boulder Dash, Wizard, Bard's Tale, Wasteland, Lode Runner, ACS, etc. My all-time favorite genre are platform games, and I made many Ultimate Wizard levels as a kid. My favorite platform game is the Amiga freeware game Top Hat Willy , of whic...

I'm from Ohio, USA, too (from the countryside around Coshocton).... and I lived in Japan for quite a few years. My Natto-Cat BD remake is designed for PCs, with 800x600 resolution at fullscreen. I never considered NTSC or PAL or whatever, just screen resolution. I remember playing lots of Amiga game...

Hi, I'm the creator of Natto-Cat. ;) The game is strange because it was originally a present for my girlfriend, who loves natto and cats, but is allergic to custard and hates green peas. She also loves the same mixture of cuteness and violence that I do. You can increase the splatter effects by edit...
