Allright, here is as I promised - new demo. 21 caves in total. See the readme.txt file inside archive for details. I hope you'll like it. nice work) but not always work start with Right Ctrl after death... Thank you ZDW :) It seems by your post that you've been testing very old release (Demo 2 from...

As I have said - Bandit Boulder Dash files are included with GDash and can be converted to BDCFF by anybody by using included editor therefore I see no point in extracting data from Atari memory dumps manually.

Hi actomo! I understand you'd like to have some caves converted to BDCFF format, right? I need some further details :) In what format are the files you have? I'd prefer files which can be handled by Atari emulator (like A800Win). If so, I might be able to convert them. However, regarding Bandit Boul...

Cirix you are right - I've sent you PM. I didn't thought about GDash license violation since basically these sounds come from original game. Anyway I'm waiting for your response and until that I've removed these files from my release available to download.

Unfortunately latest release of GDash (from April'13) came without source code. However, the older releases came with it, so you could try to find it or ask Cirix from this forum about it - he's an author of GDash.

Alternatively you may want to use GDash. Included editor allows to export into BDCFF format and if I remember, there are included original level sets within game. I was searching for the source code, is it available anywhere? What do you understand by the source code? The Boulder Dash source code? ...

Hi Paul! No, only the little launcher is written in Lazarus (it was quicker & easier). The game itself is written in C++ under mingw compiler with CodeBlocks IDE. By the way - thanks fo feedback, so far you are the first person that had written anything about this release ;) I hope you're not th...

NEW RELEASE OF BD REINCARNATION CLONE

Hi! :D It's been awhile, but here I come back with the new release of my Boulder Dash clone. To be honest game has been recently rewritten almost from scratch and in my opinion is far better than the previous two releases I've shared with you last year. As usual I have placed it in my public Dropbox...

Cirix, unfortunately I'm posting here direct URL to screen shot from GDash. It lies in my dropbox folder, so it is safe. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2721411/Fotki/Rozne/gdash_editor.jpg There you can see how does "draw element" sub-window look like with scaling factor x4 in Editor....

Alright! Thank you Subotai, the problem is solved! It seems that my slime handling was ok, the problem was elsewhere. I've already confirmed this morning that map-coded cave with initial seed values $1E $00 works exactly the same as in GDash - regardless predictable slime value. However there was st...

Thanks for answer, Logic. I just wanted to be sure. Slime in my implementation doesn't check whether item laying on it is in delayed state - so it is correct.

Now I'm eager to know these initial randseed values for cave E1 from BD2. Could anyone check this, please?

Yes, Subotai, I have already read this whole topic and so far I wasn't able to figure out problem in implementation of other elements :/ Let's look at Cave E in BD2 - there are only few objects - boulders, diamonds, space, dirt and steel wall... I really don't have idea what might be wrong here. Ok....

Hi! Now I have similar problem to Sarr and I'm stuck with it. I'm writing BD clone in C++ and predictable Slime permeability doesn't work as desired. As far as random number generator itself is concerned I'm almost sure it works perfectly. I've checked it against many different caves and didn't see ...

I enjoy the newest release of GDash very much. As someone mentioned - TV emulation mode is great, it really makes me feel like time has shifted :) Also new scrolling is brilliant. Really good job! However, I've encountered some issues with editor. Since my native resolution is 1920x1080 I have to us...
